Black ink and sunbeams poetry

Exile,

footprints washed away,

your heart bucks, shudders

and breaks

exile,

laden down,

your dream folds upon a seam,

love, firstborn, its perdition

chains you down

the future, unfolding,

retains your memory,

the future, refracted

remembers you

perhaps,

when resentment

consumes its remedy

and your curse, mature,

sheds you, a chrysalis,

even you,

exile, twice reviled,

will know peace
