our fate, delineated, collapses,

a twilight star,

your soul,

shaken loose, splits along a seam,

two masks, given life,

consume you in their becoming

the moon, eclipsed,

frames your face,

my soul, trembling,

meets you by the bracken fields,

two masks, gifted life,

shed themselves
