Mirebrook,
petrified, our legacy
running dry drove us to the sea

Immortality, absconded,
sunk beneath the waves,
your heart, embittered,
no longer cares to justify that
which you take from other to satisfy
that which you
believe is owed to you

child, you alone,
remaining,
comb the ashes,
one day, in time,
you too will find yourself
swept out,
tempestuous,
your inheritance,
a callused heart, brining,
carved from stone
